Spiced Porridge with seasonal fruit
Serves 1
Ingredients:
- ½ cup Quick Oats
- 2 cups water
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 cardamom pods
- 1 star anise
- salt
Method:
- In a small saucepan, add honey, cardamom, star anise & 2 tablespoons of water. Gently heat until the mixture becomes combined then pour into a small container & allow to infuse.
- In the same saucepan, add your 2 cups of water & ½ cup oats, slowly bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally with a spoon.
- Once cooked to desired consistency, add a pinch of salt, stir through & pour into your serving bowl.
- Add fresh cut banana & drizzle with your infused honey. Dust with the cinnamon & serve with any other desired fruit & yoghurt. Enjoy 🙂
