Spiced Porridge with seasonal fruit

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Quick Oats
  • 2 cups water
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 1 star anise
  • salt

Method:

  1. In a small saucepan, add honey, cardamom, star anise & 2 tablespoons of water. Gently heat until the mixture becomes combined then pour into a small container & allow to infuse.
  2. In the same saucepan, add your 2 cups of water & ½ cup oats, slowly bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally with a spoon.
  3. Once cooked to desired consistency, add a pinch of salt, stir through & pour into your serving bowl.
  4. Add fresh cut banana & drizzle with your infused honey. Dust with the cinnamon & serve with any other desired fruit & yoghurt. Enjoy 🙂
